Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) Training

The Northeast Homeland Security Regional Advisory Council (NERAC) is sponsoring two training courses on Active Shooter Response for law enforcement officers that serve the NERAC region. The Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) courses prepare first responders to isolate, distract, and neutralize an active shooter, and cover a number of related tactics and techniques using both classroom and field-based activities, including dynamic force-on-force scenarios. You can learn more about ALERRT here.

The first course will take place on February 21st and 22nd  from 8am to 5pm. The second course will take place on February 23rd and 24th from 8am to 5pm.

Through a partnership between the Bureau of Justice Assistance and Texas State University, NERAC is able to offer these courses free of cost for all attendees.  NERAC will provide backfill/overtime reimbursement at up to $35/hr.

Course 1 will be on February 21 and 22, and class 2 will be on February 23 and 24. Both courses will run from 8am until 5pm. Courses will be held at Belmont High School at 221 Concord Avenue in Belmont MA.

Additional ALERRT courses will be scheduled and announced later this year. For more information and to download the registration form, click here.
