Free Cybersecurity Scans for NERAC Municipalities

The Northeast Homeland Security Regional Advisory Council (NERAC) has partnered with the North Shore IT Collaborative to run free public internet scans for communities located within the NERAC region. The Town of Danvers, on behalf of the North Shore IT Collaborative, will conduct these scans free of charge to municipalities to improve the cybersecurity posture of our region.

Public internet scans are a passive look at internet-facing assets. These scans will produce reports for NERAC municipalities to observe resources that are currently vulnerable to cyber attackers. These reports will also provide steps to remediate the public vulnerabilities and prioritize the order in which they should be addressed. Cyber-attacks leveraging publicly available information are up 58% in municipalities in the past year, and the average down time from an attack is 22 days!

Contact securityreportcard@danversma.gov to request this free scan and report for your municipality!
